Russian Ag Min raises 2018 grain harvest estimate to 110 mln tns

MOSCOW, Nov 15 (PRIME) -- The Russian Agriculture Ministry has raised the grain harvest forecast in 2018 to about 110 million tonnes from 109 million tonnes, Minister Dmitry Patrushev told reporters on Thursday.

“Maybe, it will be a little more but this is insignificant growth. We had 109 (million tonnes), now we can say that it is 110,” Patrushev said.

The wheat harvest forecast is 69.3 million tonnes.

Patrushev also said that the grain exports estimate for the 2018–2019 agricultural year, which started on July 1, 2018 and will end on June 30, 2019, amounts to 38–39 million tonnes.
